Skip Hire is a common practice. Walk or drive through any town and you are likely to see a number of skips. Below is a guide to help you to decide what size of skip you may need.
NB: Skips can vary slightly in size - so the below dimensions are a guide - check with your hirer before ordering. The Skip Hire Guide silohette man is 5'9" tall and all images are to scale.
"Bin Bags" refers to the number of standard size bin bags you should be able to fit in that size of skip.

| Where are you planning on putting the Skip? |
If you are hope to put the skip on a public road you'll need to get a skip permit from your local council. This won’t be necessary if you put the skip on your own property. Permits can be applied for with your local council. The skip hire company should be able to assist you with this.
