The county of Middlesex has lost much of its original size due to the expansions of London over the last 200 years.

The reason for this ambiguity is the fact that Middlesex has had its borders changed on a number of occasions. Shepperton studios are situated in the town and were the site where many well liked films were made. These films include Nineteen Eighty-Four, Shadowlands and The Madness of King George.
Chiswick is again traditionally in Middlesex. Chiswick is extremely accessible, because of its excellent rail and underground links all close by. These include Turnham Green, Chiswick Park, Gunnersbury and Stamford Brook.
